First Anniversary

Well we made it! We had our first year anniversary this last Sunday, May 22 2011. It was great! We did a little shopping at the Gateway, went to Thaifoon for dinner, and then checked in at the South Temple Anniversary Inn. The next morning my cute husband took me to IKEA! My most favorite place in the world. We both and a great time getting ideas for our home together.
I am so very greatful for my husband and I'm such a lucky girl to have snatched him up! Aaaww, love!

Anniversary breakfast is better than regular breakfast! Mmmm...

Ollie Girl!

Woke up the other morning to Ollie resting her precious head on Heath's precious bum... aaaw!
Love that pup!

I can never get mad at that face! UH!

There was a house under that?

Lookin better already... sorta
Oh! Our house is brick! Nice to know...
TA-DA! Way more better! I love that the mature trees will be the focal point and not the massive old 70's bushes. :) I think after this we will hold off on the major landscaping until next year or 5... or never...

But I really have to thank my great (super awesome amazing) husband (and Brian and Bryan) for all of this because it would have gotten done otherwise!

Bush Be Gone

Looka that hole! Sheesh!
Looks at those boys... so proud!

Seriously... so blogger impaired! Whatever... Here is the end when it finally came out! We were yelling and chanting in the background it was so exciting! (Ok, so I was yelling and chanting)

Man, I'm bushed!

Heave-Ho! Heave-Ho!

Gitter-done!
Ok, so I'm blogger impaired... I dont know how to use it sometimes (most all the time) so if my pictures are out of order I apologize and half didnt even load. Anyway, we have been so so so so soooooo SO SOOO (ARRRGH) busy these last few months. I just realized we purchased our home 2 months ago today! Woah time has flown, and we have done a lot of stuff. We have some great neighbor friends we didn't realize we had moved so close to that came over with their HUGE truck "Big Gulp," a tow strap, and the rest is history. We only intended to get a stump out that was by our front door, and then we decided to see how easy it was to take out the big guy... and then little ones around it... and the ones behind it.... needless to say we have opened a can of worms. But it looks 1000 times better even if they are torn out and stitting in the gutters! Our neighbors around us have made the effort to come over and thank us for finally ripping out the 35 year old bushes. These are the before pictures... after (or during should we say...?) are soon to come! :)

Pookie's Red Velvet Wedding Cake

Well after all the home improvements and unpacking, I got to take a few days off and focus my brain on different things... like a wedding cake! It was for a best friend Pookie and therefore I wanted it to be PERFECT and it turned out pretty darn great if I say so myself. :)

More pictures of da house

So I was in a big hurry this morning and just loaded a bunch of random pictures of the house. We had some friends come over last night and we decided to take a night off and go to Iggy's with them. We are actually their new neighbors! Brian and Deasha ROCK! :D
Honestly I have no idea why I took this picture... haha here is the fire place with a lot of junk around it and the primed walls... Oops! I "accidently" tripped over the carpet and half of it came up! Look at those floors... SCORE! My mom is pretty much awesome. That border was a beast! She was actually balancing one foot on the ladder, the other foot on the banister and just scraping the crap out of the glue. I hope no one in my family dies in the name of wallpaper removal... My little brother was awesome! This was the 14 hour day he spent with me working on this horrendous room! We were pretty much ready to lock ourselves in the closet so we didn't have to look at the mustard yellow any more! :O I thought the mustard yellow was just in the closet like the pink was only in the master bedroom... but much to our dismay when we removed the wall paper, that beautiful color was everywhere... *shutters* We would clean up multiple times because we couldn't even move around! That garbage bag was full of wallpaper from just the hall My hubby building me a pantry. The shelves were N-A-S-T-Y and ghetto. Notice the very heavy draperies and floral wallpaper in the background. They are NO MORE! (that curtain rod left holes in the walls so big you could fit your finger in!) Goodbye lace curtains and floral wallpaper... you will be missed...?

The view. I can't wait for the sumer!!
